Niké

Scenography for ‘Niké’, theatre performance by Lenette van Dongen.

Set in a performance environment that alludes to monumental Greek architecture, Lenette van Dongen’s play – inspired by Nike, the Greek Goddess of victory – uses the theatrical device of long-lost objects in an attic to comment on modern-day society and her own age, relationships, childlessness and physical resemblance to a bouvier dog.
